A stoner comedy released by Lionsgate Films, HIGH HOPES follows a group of Hollywood hopefuls whose pursuit of success leads them into a wildly unexpected adventure where ambition, friendship, and questionable choices collide.

During pre-production Cecily Gambrell completed a page-one rewrite that served as the film's shooting script. During production she was a producer, and played the role of Julie. And in post she edited the HIGH HOPES teaser, over saw elements of delivery, and also wrote the film’s tagline and official synopsis.

HIGH HOPES represents Gambrell’s creative contribution across multiple areas of filmmaking — from all phases of production, to performance,  to delivery and beyond. It is also her third project collaboration with Danny Trejo.
